Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked "The Emergencies Act".

This Emergencies Act gives the government legal authority to identify and seize the bank accounts of peaceful protestors. The Defender looks into what happens now.

Now that the Emergencies Act is in force it must be debated and voted on in parliament. This debate begins on Thursday, February 17th.
