Group Life holders in general experience better mortality than overall US population. That was the case in first nine months of 2020. Group Life was 19.8% vs US pop at 22.6%. In 2021 Group Life was worse at 22% vs US pop at 17.9% Even age adjusted was worse at 22% vs 20%.

Edward Dowd: "Wait till you see the baseline pre-Covid. In general working age group life policy holders experience 30%-40% the mortality of the US population in a given year. Meaning one-third to two-fifths the rate of everyone else. That flipped in 2021 to this group dying more than the general population… the ratio when above 1.
