The EMA Inquiry: Day 28 – Freedom Convoy made it hard to follow the law.

"…the interpretation of the law sure seems to get broader all in order to justify the Trudeau's Liberals power grab. Meanwhile, the reality of the situation is that the government's case only gets weaker.

"We are finally getting to the end of the Emergency Act inquiry as additional ministers are scheduled to testify in front of the commission throughout the week, with the testimony of Justin Trudeau scheduled to take place on Friday.

"And on Tuesday, in what appears to be another justification of the invocation of the Emergency Act by the Trudeau government, Minister of Public Safety, Marco Mendicino, took the stand and stated that it became "nearly impossible" to follow the law in downtown Ottawa.

"Mendicino told the Public Order Emergency Commission that was tasked with probing Trudeau's decision on Tuesday that this was one of the factors that contributed to the government's decision to invoke the controversial Emergencies Act in order to clear out the protesters earlier this year.

"Mendicino mentioned that one of his primary concerns, which finally led to the conclusion that it was necessary for the Liberal government to invoke the Emergency Act, was that they were unable to effectively enforce the law in the area surrounding essential government infrastructure.

"According to Mendicino, there were two separate groups of people present during the Freedom convoy protest. The first group, he claimed, was "exercising their lawful right to protest" against certain policies of the Liberal government, but the second group "had other more extreme intentions, such as preparing to go violent."
