Online Streaming Act: Canada's Bill C-11 will give CRTC all the power to regulate almost all audio visual content online if passes.

"Something big is coming, and millions of Canadians are either not concerned, misinformed or completely unaware of the threat to their fundamental rights and freedoms. With the Trudeau government, saying something is a threat to our fundamental rights is not a big clue. The government itself is a threat to our rights and freedoms. But the subject of this video is Bill C 11, the online streaming act, which according to officials, seeks to account for the increased prominence of internet video and digital media and prioritize the needs and interests of Canadians.

"The bill will ensure that online broadcast programming accommodates the inclusion of Canadians of diverse backgrounds. If the bill passes, which by all indications it will, the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) will oversee all forms of broadcasting done over the internet. The CRTC will have the power to regulate almost all audio visual content distributed via online platforms like YouTube, Netflix and Spotify. Monetized content on social media, like our channel, will also be under the regulatory scope of the commission."
