Kroger forces customers to use self-checkout and plans to employ artificial intelligence as a monitor. Cameras will watch the self-checkout lanes and AI will examine how customers scan their good. Everseen Visual AI will examine the video virtually and flag any discrepancies. The AI will flag customers stealing and other abnormal patterns, and alert the store personnel. The technology will also alert customers when an item has not been scanned. A store personnel is alerted when a second item is missed.

Welcome to the world post The Great Reset. Create the situations where shoplifting will increase. Then don't stop these people from taking without paying. Bring in surveillance to justify the solution in the big stores. The small and medium stores will not survive (for many other reasons including having AI technology as part of the business operation) and cease to exist. What's left are the big stores. This will force many people to go for online grocery shopping and delivery. Convert to 15-minute cities and have drones bring in your purchases if you qualify to buy them. This is how you modify the human behaviour and justify your actions.
