Hope For Humanity: Hope, guts and pride – Netherlands finally have a coalition government… but will Geert Wilders be PM?
After months of futile discussions, and a threat of a snap general election with polls showing the leading PVV party will gain another 10 seats, four parties have reached an agreement to form a government. The new coalition of PVV-VVD-NSC-BBB will be led by Geert Wilders' PVV party, but will he wants to be the new prime minister?
"'Whether we are talking about feeling secure about the future, healthcare, money in your pocket or the availability of sufficient housing, we have big ambitions,' the four parties say in the introduction. 'We also want to reverse the much too high influx of refugees and immigrants. We want farmers, market gardeners and fishermen to have a future again.'"
Netherlands previous prime minister Mark Rutte (VVD) is a member of the World Economic Forum.
