"NATO's AWACS facility in Geilenkirchen, Germany, has been placed on high alert following intelligence reports of a "highly likely" attack. Security levels at the base have been elevated to Threat Level 'Charlie,' and non-essential staff have been sent home as a precaution. The base, which houses NATO's special radar planes, remains operational despite the heightened threat."
