Food For Thought: Cuts both ways – Why did the judge delay Trump's sentencing until after the election?

Can Trump govern America while serving his sentence in prison? Can he pardon himself after he is re-elected as President of the United States of America? If Trump is sentenced to prison before the election, it will only bode well for his chance at winning. Now that it has been delayed, it will also bode well for his chance at winning. A triumphant win-win for Trump?

"A judge has delayed sentencing in former US president Donald Trump's hush money trial until three weeks after the US election on November 26. The original date set for September 18 was changed when a complaint was brought by Mr Trump and his lawyer, claiming it would be politically prejudicial for sentencing to occur before the election. The prosecution didn't oppose the delay."
