"The financial sector effectively owns itself. The biggest companies that they own own them back, creating this loop that sucks money in and never seems to spit it back out. They play all sides of the game because at a certain point, you can't lose when you play against yourself."

"They also have a lot of friends in the government. There's a sort of revolving door between BlackRock, the government and the international bodies that create monetary policy."
