"France’s far-right leader Marine Le Pen has been convicted of embezzlement and barred from running in the 2027 presidential election. The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan described the French court’s decision as 'very strange and poor'. 'We’re seeing all over the world the criminalization of politics,' he told Sky News Australia. 'It seems an extraordinary decision to rule out the favourite from running for an election for five years.'"
