"Russia launched one of its largest attacks on Ukraine since the war began, firing over 400 drones and 40 missiles across nine regions, including Kyiv, Lviv, and Sumy. The strike, which Moscow claimed was retaliation for Ukraine’s recent hit on Russian nuclear-capable bombers, killed at least six people and injured 80. Among the dead were three firefighters in Kyiv. President Zelensky condemned the assault and warned of further escalation. Putin had earlier told U.S. President Trump that Russia would respond to Ukrainian strikes, though it’s unclear if more attacks will follow."
