"'I think anything you can do to promote financial inclusion is very important,' Ajay Banga told Avi Yemini at the 2026 World Economic Forum."
"You cannot get rid of cash 100%. People are in need of it.… You cannot get rid of it completely. But the more you can bring people into good financial systems with just them access to credit insurance that's good for them."
So what will happen to CBDC, and the complete conversion to that financial system? Does he mean some countries (cash based) can use cash? Is he talking about near term, before 2030? Or is this a mixed signal to throw people off?
