The Great Reset: Meloni said no to Brussels – Italy's secret phone call to Washington shocks EU.
"Trump's team reportedly offered Italy access to alternative financing mechanism that would allow Rome to fund infrastructure and industrial projects without relying on EU recovery funds. These funds, which Brussels has used as a political leash to enforce compliance, would suddenly lose their power. If member states could access capital directly from American financial institutions backed by Washington strategic interest, the EU's primary tool of coercion would be neutralized."
This was what happened after anti-globalist Giorgia Meloni became prime minister in October 2022. She had to borrow heavily from the EU recovery fund to save Italy's economy from cratering. Of course, this came with strings attached. She could not fight back against the EU globalist organization like her counterparts did from Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
"The moment Brussels intercepted fragments of these discussions, panic sets in. This wasn't Hungary, a smaller member state that could be isolated and pressured. This was Italy, a founding member, a G7 economy, a nation whose debt crisis could bring down the entire Euro zone if mishandled. And now that nation was quietly constructing an exit ramp from European dependency that didn't require leaving the Union at all. It simply required making the [globalist] Union irrelevant."
