"A guy who escaped Iran as a kid in 1989 just laid it out plain and simple. He came here and was blown away that parades were about Santa, balloons, and kids having fun—not tanks and missiles. He blended in. He didn't get offended by pork on the BBQ or rainbow flags. He embraced it.
