Mark Carney played Canada against the United States for his Liberal Party by-election gains when he pulled out at the final hour in the CUSMA negotiation.

"This is the way the game is played at this level. And I don't know what Trump does to Canada other than starve them out financially. And eventually, at some point, if you want people to get rid of or work around an illegitimate government, and from what I'm hearing from you and from other Canadian patriots that Carney is an illegitimate prime minister if not legally, then certainly in moral terms or in practical terms. He's legitimate prime minister. He's not acting in Canada's best interest at all. If anything, he's acting in Brookfield's best interest. But I don't think that's even a misnomer. I think he's working for the people who created him, right?"
