The Great Reset: Canada's 'surveillance state' will be a one way street – Bill C-34 the final nail in the free speech coffin.
"Constitutional lawyer and President of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, John Carpay, joins me to discuss the dangers of the Liberal government's 'Safe Social Media' law, Bill C-34."
"There are many problems with the bill, but I'll mention just two of them. It creates a brand new very large, very powerful federal bureaucracy which will be known as the digital safety commission. So this mammoth bureaucracy will have power to censor content on social media and to impose fines of up to $10 million or 3% of annual global revenues of a company. So all of the companies to which bill C34 applies and we don't even know yet. The federal cabinet will decide later which companies. This digital safety commission will be much more powerful and intrusive than the CRTC. Secondly, it's going to lead to every Canadian needing to prove their identity, prove their age every time they use social media. That is the endgame. So, we're talking about biometrics, facial scanning, digital ID."
