ArriveCAN App: Embezzlement of taxpayers' money – Trudeau and his Liberals are crooks.
"Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has come out ranting about a move by the public service to contract the development of the ArriveCAN app to a two person-staffed firm. He said that the decision to do so was both illogical and inefficient. He also said that he had asked Canada’s top bureaucrats to probe the matter.
"This came after a news article from The Globe and Mail exposed the public service for contracting out the task. It was gathered that the two person-staffed firm that got the contract from the public service subcontracted its work to six other companies. It is important to note that this firm got millions of dollars in taxpayers’ money for the contract. This firm, GC Strategies, billed the government sums ranging between 1,000 dollars and 1,500 dollars per day per worker. The company said it kept a commission between 15 and 30 percent.
"For months, neither the company nor the Canadian Border Security Agency allowed the identity of the subcontractors involved in the development of the ArriveCAN app to be revealed to the public, saying that it was confidential information. The revelation of what really went on back then now shows that there was a shady part to their reluctance to reveal the subcontractors involved in the project, and the reasons are obvious."
