It's here! The selling point is to reduce wait time in airports across Canada, so they say. Air Canada has become the first airline in the nation to roll out facial recognition technology for passenger identification. Travellers flying from Vancouver YVR and Toronto airports are being invite to try the new facial recognition system in lieu of the traditional boarding pass and government ID-verification.

It was also report here in May 2022.

"The Trudeau government has announced it worked with airlines to consider requiring 'digital identity documents' and biometric data like facial recognition for pre-aircraft boarding requirement."

"The government also noted that four unidentified air carriers were planning to implement the 'innovative identity management solutions' soon."

"'While four air carriers confirmed their intent to implement innovative identity management solutions in the short to medium term, no specific immediate change has been identified for the (Secure Air Travel Regulations),' the statement claimed."

This was previously reported here in August 2022.

This program started in Canada in 2016 shortly after PM Justin Trudeau took office. This is the Known Traveller Digital Identity. According to Christoph Wolff, head of mobility at the World Economic Forum:

"KTDI will allow WEF to have greater control over people's personal data. The identity data that is usually stored on a chip on a passenger's passport is instead securely stored and encrypted on their mobile device.… Using biometrics the data is checked at every leg of the journey until arrival at the destination without the need for a physical passport."

This was also report here in October 2022.

This program has a $105.3 million contract with the World Economic Forum. There are four air carriers involved in this pilot project, and only two are known: Air Canada and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. The aim is to accrue a person's biometric information such as fingerprints, eye scan and face recognition.

"The Trudeau Liberals had secretly scanned millions of travellers' faces without their consent at Toronto Pearson International Airport in 2016. Canadian provinces such as Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and New Brunswick have already forged ahead with a push for digital ID on the public."

Another report here in October 2022.

"Earlier this year, the Canadian government, Air Canada, and two Canadian airports partnered with the globalist World Economic Forum (WEF) to help create a digital ID. WEF previously detailed its plan for the digital ID, which would be required to participate in any area of society, even to obtain the most basic necessities. But the Canadian government isn’t the only powerful entity to partner with WEF for this authoritarian social credit score. The Government of the Netherlands and the list below are partners with WEF for the “Known Traveller Digital Identity” (KTDI) program"

Full program partners include:

  • the Government of Canada
  • the Government of Netherlands
  • Air Canada
  • KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
  • Toronto Pearson International Airport
  • Montréal-Trudeau International Airport
  • Schiphol International Airport
  • the World Economic Forum.
