Online Streaming Act: Bill C-18 takes effect as Facebook, Instagram block Canadian News.

The truth is the Bill C-18 is not about prioritizing Canadian content on social media but limiting Canadian news and information from flowing to and through the population. This is nothing more than pure censorship.

"Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram is blocking Canadian news outlets' links from their websites after the Liberal proposed Bill C-18 passed and became law. Google had previously ran such experiments and will presumably roll out similar changes across their platforms."
