The Great Reset: Bill C63 – Trudeau's censorship bill hiding behind hate.
If hate is not defined, then anything and everything can be construed as hate. Meaning it can be as broad as your imagination can go. So what is hate?
This Bill C-63 is The Online Harms Act which follows on the heels of the Online Streaming Act (Bill C-11) becoming law on April 27, 2023, and introduced Canadian content requirement for commercial streaming services and social media platforms to be implemented by the CRTC.
"In this detailed analysis, Dr. Jordan Peterson unpacks the complexities and potential consequences of Canada's proposed Bill C63, which he describes as an unprecedented encroachment on free speech in the Western world. Peterson articulates his concerns over the bill’s broad scope, which could significantly impact the legal landscape related to hate speech and online content regulation.
"Throughout the video, Peterson meticulously examines the bill's various components, including its potential to impose severe penalties for hate speech violations, up to life imprisonment under certain conditions. He expresses alarm over the bill’s easy complaint process, which could lead to a chilling effect on free expression online. Peterson highlights how the bill grants extensive regulatory powers to a governmental agency, which could enforce arbitrary rules on digital platforms, indirectly censoring users.
"This video serves as a critical discourse on the dangers of expansive governmental control over speech and the erosion of clear legal standards, urging a reevaluation of legislative approaches to online governance and speech regulation. Dr. Peterson calls for a defense of foundational freedoms against the backdrop of increasing governmental intervention in personal and public discourse."
